ROMERO TO MAKE PREQUEL TO THE DEAD SERIES
Bad luck to those hoping to see either a continuation of Riley's adventures with the Dead Reckoning or a conclusion to George A Romero's epic career spanning Living Dead series. The next instalment entitled Diary of the Dead will be set at roughly the same time as the first film in the series, Night of the Living Dead and will take a different viepoint of the start of the zombie plague.
The story will be based around a bunch of filmmakers who unwittingly stumble upon a load of the stinky flesh-chewers and decide to do the obvious and make a film about them. Obviously the Blair Witch comparisons have already started flying but this one could be a frsh new direction for this series to take.
